“A goal without a plan is just a wish.”

Fortunately, I have the planner gene! So when Nouveau Events was launched in 2012, I knew that my goal was to have a consultation studio to meet with my brides and special event clients. I must say that in addition to my step-by-step plan as to how I would accomplish this, there was definitely luck and favor involved!

I wanted my first blog post of 2014 to be special. So I am sharing the grand reveal of our new consultation studio with our readers! It is located in The Beaman Building found in the Glenwood (South) district. It is a historic home with tons or character and charm. Any one who knows me, knows that I am an extreme history buff. While that may be the case, our consultation studio has definitely modernized an antique space.

When I began to come up with the design concept for the space, I decided to play on the lilac and white walls by adding a Gramercy Sofa because it has a combination of masculine and feminine features. The space is accented and softened by silver lamps from West Elm. Finally, white office furniture from Pottery Barn completes our office space. I love how the final product turned out and we cannot wait until our Sips, Sweets, and Makeovers event on February 7th, 2014 to show it off!

Lastly, I want to thank Durban for these awesome images of the office and him coming out on a cold, rainy Sunday night! I want to thank my husband for hearing me go on, and on about getting the office opened and reminding me that I could do it. My mother for assisting me in moving into the space (tough by the way), and Claire and Victoria for being phenomenal through this process!
