Jonathan and Aissatou’s wedding at The Cotton Room represented the blending of cultures and reflected this couple perfectly. Aissatou wanted to incorporate her Guinean roots and love of all things simplistic while Jonathan’s love for the Caribbean and bold purples, oranges, and teals were also a must. In the end, we designed a wedding full of organic touches and pops of bold color. The two wed in a beautiful and personal ceremony where each member of their bridal party lit a pillar that represent a principle of their relationship and the wedding rings were passed around to be blessed by all wedding guests. They also jumped the broom and dawned the marriage blanket once they were pronounced husband and wife.
For their wedding reception, we created a fun party atmosphere and DJ Paradime kept the party going. Later in the evening, guests enjoyed flambeed donuts and ice cream. A real treat! A special thank to Chris Charles of Creative Silence Photography for these amazing images!
