Governor's Club Wedding | Chapel Hill Wedding Planner

Xylina and Will were married this March at the amazing Duke Chapel and had a fabulous reception at the stately Governor’s Club. Xylina and Will are such a passionate couple and they know how to always have a good time. Their families were absolutely AMAZING through the entire planning process and we had tons of laughs, lots of adventures, and many hugs. Xylina has such a vibrant personality and we incorporated this into the ceremony and reception through the usage of bright colors and sparkle. Will wanted more of a classically elegant wedding that showed the couple’s fun nature. When the two merged, we had a vibrantly elegant wedding with an exotic touch.

To develop a juxtaposition with the traditional Duke Chapel, we created a reception space that had the right about of glitz and sparkle through beautiful stationary,bling (of course), white sequin linens, and exotic floral centerpieces made up of birds of paradise, orchids, and calla lilies. Their dinner reception was GORGEOUS!!

Once dinner concluded, guests danced the night away in fantastic uplighting and had an amazing time in the photobooth. Guests were also able to have delicious macaroon favors and finally enjoy a slice of their stunning wedding cake!

We had such an amazing time planning Will and Xylina’s wedding and I wish them many, many, many years of happiness as they begin this new chapter in their lives.
